LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Ride Access Pass users will now be issued with a Merlin Ride Access Pass. The 2020 Merlin Ride Access Pass requires guests to only register once, with either Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK Resort, Chessington World of Adventures Resort or LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and they will be given a Merlin Yellow Ride Access Pass card on their first visit. This card will be the guest’s Ride Access Pass ID for all visits to any of the four Resorts over the following 24 months, which will have the name of the guest, photo and carer requirements on it. This Ride Access Pass ID will be valid at all 4 Parks.
The 2020 Ride Access Pass at LEGOLAND Windsor still operates using the virtual queuing system, as in 2019, however guests using it are now able to benefit from reverse queuing to allow more flexibility throughout their day:
Step One
Select which ride you wish to use using the Ride Access Pass.
Step Two
A QR code will then appear. Head straight to the ride where a member of the team will scan your mobile device and help you onto the ride.
Step Three
Once you have enjoyed the ride, a countdown will appear to show the time to wait until your next ride reservation becomes available.
Step Four
Once the countdown reaches 00:00, you can then select your next ride on the Ride Access Pass.
The Ride Access Pass user will now be issued with either a red wristband or a yellow wristband. Red wristband users must be accompanied by a carer over the age of 14 years on all rides with the exception of Desert Chase, Thunder Blazer, L-Drivers and Driving School. Each Ride Access Pass user can bring up to 3 helpers with them on each ride cycle; these individuals no longer require a black hand stamp.
The 2020 Ride Access Pass will not include a one-shot. Guests are welcome to book rides as soon as the Park opens and up until 5 minutes before the Park closing time, subject to live ride availability.
